Can guinea pigs eat onions?

Onions are actually something that should not be fed to guinea pigs, they are unlikely to like them anyway, but onions can also be harmful to guinea pigs especially if fed in any large volume.

Remember, the most important thing to feed your guinea pig is high quality timothy hay, fresh and clean water, as well as vitamin c fortified guinea pig pellets.  Dark leafy vegetables fed fresh but in moderation, as well as the occasional small slice of fruit as a treat can round out the guinea pigs diet nicely.

So can guinea pigs eat onions?  No, don’t feed onions to your guinea pig.

Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again soon.

Till next time, love those piggies…

Thankyou so much for this info. My piggies are my babies and I could never feed them anything harmful.
I always Google when I am going to feed them something new.
