Can guinea pigs eat parsley?

Yes, it is fine for guinea pigs to eat parsley, it will not hurt them when fed in moderation, and similar to many vegetables, parsley will make a good snack for your guinea pig.  However, keep in mind that parsley or other veggies may be a good addition to add variety to your guinea pigs, it should not be fed in bulk or high quantity.  The core of your guinea pigs diet should be made up of  high quality timothy hay and guinea pig pellets fortified with vitamin c, as well as fresh clean water. Veggies fed in moderation and the occasional fruit treat  can round out the diet.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and we hope to see you again soon.

Till next time, love those piggies!

the most important thing you can do for your guinea pig is to provide high quality hay

Thank you! I gave my two guinea pigs about a handful of fresh parsley from my garden. They enjoyed it so much they fought for it! I will definitely feed it to them again!

i think my guinea pigs are eating too many cucumbers about a whole long one a day plus carrots and frissure leaves ..they also have special vitamin c added to their water daily supply .there are many fresh veges that they wont eat , but according to this site im overfeeding them on th greens ..but they always have a supply of quality pellets and timothy hay/ or oats wheat and barley for a change ..also sometimes orchard grass and mountain hay ..sometime timothy is unavailable .
