Can rabbits eat almonds?

Can I feed almonds to my rabbit?

Owning a rabbit is a lot of fun, but there are a ton of choices to make, especially when it comes to deciding what to feed.  There are many questions on individual foods and one common question, in particular, is can rabbits eat almonds?

In the most literal sense, yes rabbits can eat almonds.  However, the truth is almonds are not the best thing for you  to feed your rabbit.  Remember the most important thing for you to give your pet rabbit are going to be high quality and fresh timothy hay, quality rabbit pellets, as well as fresh and clean water everyday.  Things like almonds are excessive in fats and proteins and other things your rabbit doesn’t need.

Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again real soon.

Till next time, love those rabbits…
