Hay friends!
Did you know May is National Pet Month? That means our hoomans are supposed to celebrate how much they love us. (Personally, I think this should be every month!)
National Pet Month seems to come with extra bonding time, extra explorations, and sometimes even extra snacks.
Or, in my case, all three at once!
See, Big Momma is really smart! She knows that while we piggies may be small, our brains still need to stay busy. We love exploring, sniffing, searching, and figuring things out. That’s right. We’re curious and smart.
So for National Pet Month, Big Momma surprised me with a new Wooden Lid Puzzle.
She said my new puzzle was for something called “enrichment.” I just call it yummy fun!
Big Momma hid my favorite goodies (including my favorite Pea Flakes) inside the puzzle and showed me how to move the wooden lids to find them.
Now, I’ll be honest. At first, I mostly stared at it and hoped the snacks would magically appear.
I was a little nervous at first. But the more I explored the puzzle, the braver I got.
And after a few nudges with my nose, something exciting happened.
Success!
By the end, I was scooting lids around like a professional snack detective.
Big Momma kept cheering me on the whole time, which made it even more fun. Every little success turned into a bonding moment between us.
That’s the nice thing about enrichment. It’s not just about keeping piggies busy.
It’s about spending time together.
So, if your piggy seems bored, try introducing something new to explore, sniff, or investigate. Even small enrichment activities can make a big difference... especally when snacks are involved.
Stay curious, piggy pals!
