Chapter 141 - Trick or Treat
Merlot said, “Come on, Dino. It’s Halloween! We have to go trick or treating!” Dino looked at Merlot inquisitively and asked, “What dat?” Merlot explained, “That’s when we go tell Dad we want treats or we’ll play a trick on him.”
Merlot ran over to Dad while Dino followed behind. They hopped up onto the cushion beside Dad and looked at him. “Trick or treat!” thought Merlot.
Dad looked down to see two cute faces staring up at him, an empty red treat platter in front of them, looking a bit like a jack-o-lantern treat basket. Dad said, “Oh, are you here for trick or treat? What are you dressed as? Two cute little bunnies? Here you go.” Dad handed them a new treat platter. He always had one ready on the coffee table, just in case.
The two rabbits began munching on their treats. Dino said between chewing, “I don’t get it. We do dis ebry day. We don’t trick Dad. He just gib us treats.” Merlot said, “Yeah, I know. Trick or treat is one of those hooman things. But it makes Dad happy when we do it.”
Merlot teaches Dino about Trick or Treat.
