Chapter 110 - Buns In Need

As a senior bunny angel, Abigail’s job was to help new angels earn their wings by helping rabbits in need on earth. One day, she checked on her fluffle of new angels and found Enzo, Duffy, and Hobo staring back down at earth. “What’s up, guys?” she asked.

Duffy answered first, “I noticed a bunny named Lola near my mommy and daddy. She lives in small cage in a trailer. Poor thing. She’s not very happy. My mommy and daddy could give her a much better home. They have room now that I’m gone. What should I do?”

Abigail replied, “Well, you have to wish really hard. In this case, you’re going to have to wish doubly hard. You’re going to need to get Lola’s current caretaker to give her up. Then you’re going to have to wish your mommy and daddy want another rabbit.”

Duffy said, “Well, getting my mommy and daddy to want another rabbit shouldn’t be hard, but I don’t know about the current owner. I’ll try.” Duffy began wishing with all his heart.

Abigail asked, “Hobo, what about you?” Hobo looked sad. He said, “I’m worried about my buddy, Mocha. He’s old, you know. Lately, he’s having trouble standing. I think his time is near, but Dad is having trouble letting go. How can I help Mocha?”

Abigail, being the wise angel that she was, suggested, “Well, sometimes you help a bunny by helping a hooman ‘see the light’, if you know what I mean. You might have to pay Dad a visit and explain it to him.”

Then she turned to Enzo and asked, “How are you doing?” Enzo replied, “I OK. I still sad. I liked living wit Merlot and Dad.” Abigail understood, “I know. So did I. It took me a long time to get over it. To be honest, I’m not really over it. I just accept that that chapter is over.”

Enzo said, “I promise Merlot I try to find an udder bun like me. Dat not easy. But I try.” Abigail put her wing around Enzo and said, “That’s OK. You have all the time in the world now. There’s no rush.”
