Hello. It's Belinda.
First things first. Did you go to Midwest BunFest last weekend?
I heard a "rumor" that the team gave away a big stash of hay and treats at our table.
If you tried any of the free samples, let me know if you liked them. I'm doing a little "market research."
I'm still grumpy about staying home if you want to know the truth.
Especially since I got in trouble with the petsitter. All I wanted was to have a little "harmless fun."
But it seems that none of the humans around here enjoy rabbit mischief.
I wrote all about it in last week's blog. It's an extra-long story but I wanted to include all the details.
OK enough about that. It's "time" to talk about something more "timely."
Daylight Saving Time.
If you're reading this on Sunday morning you're in the thick of it. Probably groggy from all the extra sleep.
All I can say is "I'm sorry." Because I've been trying to get rid of Daylight Saving Time for years. So far no luck.
I don't care for it. Not one bit.
And every six months I write about it again.
Such as back in March, when the whole thing "revolved" around the eclipse.
I even drew it to explain how it all worked. You can see my artwork here.
Today it's time to "fall back" according to the people in charge of time. Meaning turn the clock back one hour.
So whatever time it is right now at your house, well. It's not real. "According to experts" we all gain an hour in the fall when we monkey with the clocks.
The sun will set an hour earlier tonight. And it will rise an hour earlier in the morning.
All of this is hard on rabbits. We like a routine.
For example, I live in the bottom level. There's a window over the dryer. When the sun rises I can see the light outside.
That's how I know it's time for breakfast. But when the clocks are moved around nobody tells the sun.
Oh no. Speaking of time.
I'm out of time to finish this blog.
I am so embarrassed. I came up with a new way to stop Daylight Saving Time. That's the whole topic of today's blog.
I'm very sorry about this. I'll have to write a "part two" next week.
In the meantime please feed your poor rabbits in "real" time. Just look out the window if you're wondering what that means.
I hope you have a good week.
Sincerely,
Belinda
