Hello. It's Belinda.
Today's blog is a little shorter than usual. I hope that's OK.
I goofed off a lot this week. Still am.
I can't help it. I'm in such a good mood.
Abigail's back home.
That's right. After two long weeks, Abigail finished treatment for the lump in her chest.
Her doctor even gave her a graduation certificate. "The whole nine yards."
You can see a photo of Abigail with some of the team at UC Davis in her blog from Wednesday.
I know what you're thinking.
"Belinda, why did you ask Abigail to write chapters for her novel when she was in the hospital?"
The answer is I didn't.
In fact, I kept telling her to take it easy. I said if she was too tired to write, we'd figure something out. Maybe "Dad," her roommate, could pitch in.
Well that's not how Abigail operates. She's a dynamo in my opinion.
She told me to stop worrying.
Here's what I have to say about worrying. Have you ever swallowed an entire hay cube? Imagine it landing in your belly and not budging.
That's how I felt the entire time Abigail was in the hospital. Like I had eaten something that "didn't agree with me."
The funny thing is I didn't realize how worked up I was until I got the message that she was back home.
Then I marched straight to my stash and dug out some loops. Two for me and one for Little Fang.
I ate mine on my sleeping rug. Then I fell asleep before my chin hit the floor.
I'm still celebrating today.
I'm also gearing up for my birthday. It's next Saturday. "Earth Day."
I hope Josh remembers. I could use some "refills" from the warehouse.
Just kidding.
He always remembers.
Sincerely,
Belinda
