Belinda Says Hay: “Random Notes”

Belinda Says Hay spokesrabbit blog, March 1, 2025. "Random Notes"

Hello. It's Belinda.

I'm going to try out something new here today.

I don't have a choice. I'm in a real "jam" if you know what I mean.

Next week I'm writing a blog about Daylight Saving Time.

"Again."

Every six months I go through this.

For example, do you remember what happened last spring when they "monkeyed around" with the clocks?

There was an eclipse. The sun went out in the middle of the day.

How do you like that.

I wrote all about it. Including drawings of the sun.

Anyway I already started working on next week's blog. Might even have to pull an "all-nighter."

Plus I'm still "up to my ears" in the Enzo project. Meaning his performance review.

Thank you to everyone who sent tips to me. I can't wait to get this over with and I'll bet Enzo feels the same way.

OK well now to today's blog.

Actually it isn't a real blog. It's just a bunch of notes from my work papers. Thoughts and ideas I "jot down" for later.

For example, here's a good one.

Why do they call it Timothy hay?

Who’s Timothy?

If anyone would know it's the big boss at a hay company. I sent an email to him but so far nobody's "spilling the beans."

Another note from my papers is about lights.

Why do humans put lights on the ceiling?

They should be on the floor. Built into the baseboards.

I don't like the "big light" coming on when I'm sleeping. Rabbits need time to adjust. We live in burrows. It's not exactly "high noon" down there.

While we're trying to figure out humans. Why does my roommate get upset about hay all over the floor?

If you go outside there’s grass. She likes to walk around in her bare feet on the grass.

So why doesn't she like to walk on hay? It's the same thing. Just indoors.

Last but not least.

I want to talk about shedding.

Look closely at the red blanket.

There's a little fur on it. Not a problem in my opinion.

But my roommate is always "fussing" about this. Using a roller on her pants. Trying to pull "tufts" off me when I'm trying to relax.

Seems to me all she has to do is buy clothes that are the same color as the rabbits in the house.

She could wear a nice lab coat and matching slacks when she's around me.

Little Fang is solid black. And the English has grey spots. So my roommate would need additional outfits to match them.

It's just something I think about.

And that's it. That's my blog for today.

I hope it's OK.

Next week's blog will be a "doozy."

Sincerely,

Belinda
