I am so excited to join the Small Pet Select team as your very own guinea pig guru. That means I’m one of the gang, leader of the pack - creator of the herd! This is going to be fun. I'm Gizmo the guinea pig.
I’m going to try out all the treats and toys, and tell you about life in San Diego with my humans. My life is more exciting than your average guinea pig, I have a lot of energy and I’m not afraid to try new things. So don’t worry, guinea pig community, I will try all the things and let you know if you should too!
My family is always giving me something to find in my room. I love a good game of hide-and-seek. Fidget sticks are my favorite. When I’m on the search for a fidget stick, I can always smell it before I see it!
And when I find it, I savor it! I carry it around and nibble. Well, let’s be real, I savor it for as long as guinea-pigly possible.
If you’ve ever had a fidget stick, you know that's not very long. Luckily they come with at least four in a pack so mom always has them on hand.
I like a challenge though, and you know what a really fun treasure hunt includes? Pea Flakes. Yep, that’s right.
Hear me out. A fidget stick is large and the search ends pretty fast (especially when you have an adventurer like me on the job). Pea Flakes take a keener eye. I love when my mom drops pea flakes around. She thinks she's being sneaky but I notice right away. Before she can even back away from my room, I’m on the hunt!
It seems I got distracted talking about snacks. That happens sometimes.
So, I live here in San Diego, the weather is fantastic! I have a mama and a little mama. The big human does the dirty work like changing the litter box and the little human (her daughter) works on my wardrobe.
Little Mama makes me bandanas. She’s very creative so we make the perfect team! We’ve even worn matching bandanas before. Basically, bandanas are the uniform of explorers.
Little Mama is excellent at setting up obstacle courses so I can’t wait to tell you guys about our next one! She has some ideas that not even I can think of! We’ll share our obstacle course blueprints with you and hopefully inspire our cavy friends to try out some new moves.
