Through Abigail’s Eyes: Play With Me (107)

Abigail at her typewriter

CHAPTER 107 – Play With Me!

THUMP!

THUMP!

It was amazing how loud a thump a little two-pound bunny could make on carpet.

Dad was still in the dining room, working on his computer. Lately, he had been spending his days working on the “Great Bunstruction Project of 2020”, so he worked on his magazine editing job at night.

It was midnight, and Abigail hadn’t gotten her pets yet! She was tired of waiting.

She dashed into the dining room and ran circles around Dad, and then ran back into the living room and looked over her shoulder at Dad. “Come play with me!” she beckoned.

Dad laughed, “Are you trying to get my attention, baby? I’m sorry, I’ve been neglecting you.” Dad ran over to her and plopped down on the floor with her, nose-to-nose. Abigail gave him a nose bump and then zipped off behind the couch.

“Bet you can’t touch this!” she teased.

She zoomed out from behind the couch and ran past Dad. Try as he might, she was right, he could not touch her. She was too fast!

Abigail dove behind her hay tunnel. Dad reached around to tag her, but she ran off again.

After a couple more laps, she settled down in “her spot” by the window.

“Pets please,” she requested.

Dad started their “play list” of quiet music and laid down on the floor to give her her nightly massage. It warmed his heart that Abigail had engaged him to play.

“Sometimes, Dad just needs some managing!” she thought. Abigail put her chin down on the floor and closed her eyes and relaxed.

Abigail wants to play

Abigail wants some attention, so she engages Dad to play.
