Hello. It's Belinda.
If I nod off in the middle of this blog I'm sorry. I can't help it.
Still have "jet lag" from the time change last week.
Speaking of that. Thank you to everyone for the nice messages about the drawings of my dream.
I mean the one about the blue moon, Halloween and Daylight Saving Time.
A "triple whammy" if you know what I meannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
I'm back. Sorry about that.
I fell asleep on the "n" button.
TO THE TECH TEAM PLEASE DELETE THE EXTRA "N" LETTERS
Anyway I'd better hurry up and tell my story. While I'm still awake.
It all started Wednesday night. I was "running on fumes" all day, to put it mildly.
My roommate tucked us in around 10 p.m. or it could have been 9 p.m. or 11 p.m. It doesn't seem to matter.
An hour or two later I was sound asleep when I woke to yelling.
"Hey!"
I opened my eyes.
It was my boyfriend's companion. Also known as "Little Fang."
"Hey!"
Be quiet, I said. I'm trying to sleep.
"I had a dream about you."
She sounded sad. Well that woke me up. Little Fang never sounds sad.
I rolled over so I could talk to her.
All I could see was a shape in the night. Even though the "blue moon" was shining outside the window.
"I dreamed you went on a bus ride."
That's not a dream, I said. Our roommate took me on the bus a few weeks ago.
Little Fang was quiet for a bit.
Then she said it.
"Dream or no dream. I was afraid you weren't coming back."
She didn't say anything else.
I could hear her walk across the pee pads. Then I heard her squeeze into her sleeping box.
Little Fang hasn't mentioned it since. And I'm afraid to bring it up.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with hay. But this is what I think about when I try to work.
Sincerely,
Belinda
