Hello. It's Belinda.
Are you still celebrating First Chew?
I am.
I plan to "party" all month if you want to know the truth. Or until I run out of oat hay.
OK now down to business.
I have a personal question for the rabbits.
Where do you sleep?
I'm not trying to be "nosy." I need to know for a big project I'm working on.
That's right. I'm in "secret planning mode" for the next few weeks. I might have more questions for you as I go.
I think you're going to love my project by the way. It's been in the works since last year.
As for this house, we all have our favorite places to nod off.
Little Fang likes to doze inside her hidey box. She tucks in there like a little chipmunk.
If you're wondering if she talks while she's in there the answer is yes. She chatters to herself about who knows what.
Did you ever see a squirrel box? They have cameras inside and hang from trees. You can watch the squirrel curling up for a nap.
That's what I should get for Little Fang.
Could you imagine.
The English likes to sleep on top of his "castle." So he can look down on everything.
As if he owns the entire bottom level of the house. Which he does not.
Sometimes I wake and the first thing I see is the English staring at me from across the room. Up high, like some sort of weird bird in a tree.
Who does that.
As for me, I usually relax on my sleeping rug after dinner. Next thing you know I'm in "dreamland."
My rug is near the corner, by the furnace. My roommate sets it up with a little pile of hay and sometimes a surprise loop.
I can see my stash from that angle. I keep an eye on it even when I'm asleep.
Some rabbits sleep with their eyes open and now you know why.
Well that's all I want to say for now about my secret research.
If you have a minute, please let me know where the rabbits in your house take their naps. Leave it in the comments or email me at Belinda@smallpetselect.com.
Feel free to send this to your rabbit friends who don't read my blog. "The more the merrier."
In the meantime, I hope you have a good week.
Sincerely,
Belinda
