CHAPTER 262 – For The Love Of Abigail
Abigail nibbled on her greens while Dad ate his breakfast and checked his email. It was their morning routine.
Dad said, “Hey Abigail, your blogs have received hundreds of likes. Your fans are so happy that you survived the treatment and are home. Tom wrote, ‘I think there was a huge exhale throughout the bunny world as we could stop holding our breath.’ Another fan named Teri said she is going to name a rabbit she rescued after you! And Terry wrote to you and said, ‘We feel that you all as well as Belinda and her family have become part of our lives and therefore part of our extended family.’ Isn’t that nice?”
Abigail was surprised. She thought she was just part of the family at the House of Buns. She had no idea she was part of so many other families as well. It warmed her heart to know that so many people cared.
Dad announced, “Abigail, people have been sending you get-well gifts as well. You have a lot of generous fans who love you. I told them that I could take care of your medical expenses, but they insisted on helping. Isn’t that sweet?”
Abigail didn’t know what to say. She was overwhelmed by people’s love and generosity. Rabbit people were good people! Her goal in life had always been to make the world a better place for rabbits. She hoped by spreading the word about her experience with thymoma and the cure that other rabbits could be saved as well.
Abigail thanks everyone who sent her get-well gifts!
