CHAPTER 274 – Plea For Help
Abigail thumped as she checked her messages. She was upset!
Dad asked, “What’s the matter, little one?” Abigail just stared at the screen.
Dad peered over her shoulder. On the screen was a picture of a cute little dwarf rabbit. Dad read the message below the picture.
Dear Abby,
My name is Muffin. I’m a dwarf like you, about the same age as you, too. I kind of look like a cross between you and Bentley because I’m white with black spots.
Recently, my eyes started bulging. My mom and dad took me to the doctor who said I have something called Thymoma. They didn’t know what to do. They love me as much as your Dad loves you, and the thought of losing me made them very sad. I remembered reading that you had the same thing and your Dad found a way to save you, so I showed them your blog. After reading your story, they have hope.
There’s a place near us who can do the same procedure. The problem is, my dad says he doesn’t have the money (I guess that’s a human thing) to pay for the treatment up front. He’s worried that I might not live long enough for him to get the money together.
I’m scared. I don’t know what to do. Can you help me?

Abigail liked to help all buns, but she had a particular soft spot for other dwarfs. She looked up at Dad with her big brown eyes and asked, “What can we do to help her?” Dad suggested, “Well, I could help her dad set up a ‘Fund My Bun’ campaign with Rabbit Savior. They’re like a Go Fund Me campaign except they only focus on rabbits. They don’t charge much, and it’s a safe way for people to send money. They make sure the money actually goes to pay for the vet bills. You have lots of friends, Abigail. You could help spread the word.”
Abigail thought, “OK, let’s do it!” She wrote back, “Don’t worry, Muffin. We’ll help you! I’m going to rally the fluffle!”
