Belinda Says Hay: “Are Leprechauns Real?”

Belinda Says Hay spokesrabbit blog, March 17, 2024: "Are Leprechauns Real?"

Hello. It's Belinda.

"Top of the Morning" to you.

It's St. Patrick's Day.

Are you doing anything special to celebrate?

Let me know in the comments. Especially if it involves food.

As for me, I'm catching up on sleep. Which is what I've been doing all week.

Ever since my roommate set the clocks an hour ahead last Sunday I've been a wreck. "Tossing and turning" when I should be in REM sleep.

Rabbit Ear Movement.

It's what happens when I'm dreaming. I see it with Little Fang too. When she's "out like a light" her ears twitch.

Also she talks in her sleep. I shouldn't gossip about Little Fang but when you share a room you just want "quiet hours" at night.

If you're wondering if the English chats or twitches in his sleep, the answer is I don't know. None of my business plus I don't care.

I'm back. I nodded off for a few minutes.

But here's the funny thing.

I was asleep for just "forty winks" but somehow I had enough time to dream about a leprechaun. He was helping me to roll a globe across the living room floor, then out the front door and into the yard.

That globe has a secret meaning. It means I'm worried about the sun turning itself off next month.

You can see a photo of the globe in last week's blog. It's called "Eclipse Saving Time."

It was a long blog but it had to be. Daylight Saving Time plus an eclipse is a "double whammy."

I feel another dream coming on. I'll never get this blog done if I keep falling asleep.

Anyway back to St. Patrick's Day. I'm writing this on Thursday and my roommate hasn't said anything about it yet.

Last year she wanted to host a St. Patrick's Day parade here at home.

It didn't happen though. Parades aren't my thing.

She kept nagging about it and I put my foot down and I mean once. Not thumping and "dancing jigs" all over the house.

Jigs are for leprechauns and I could really use a little "leprechaun magic" right now. I'm trying to stop the eclipse and I'm not sure if that's possible or just some sort of REM dream.

I'm sorry this blog is chaos. Now you know why I don't believe in changing the clocks back and forth. It makes everything "blurry."

Well there you go.

When I don't know how to end a blog I say "Eat more hay."

Eat more hay.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Belinda
