Hello. It's Belinda.
Happy Labor Day to all of my friends in the US. I hope you have time to relax this weekend.
And happy work anniversary to me.
That’s right. Three years ago, I started this job as spokesrabbit on Labor Day weekend. “Where does the time go.”
I never applied for the job, if you want to know the truth. To this day, I have no idea why Mr. Gordon chose me instead of a Lionhead.
Still no official job description. Fine by me. I must be doing something right if I’m still here. “Chew on wood.”
And today I need to talk about something else from the warehouse.
Bedding. Otherwise known as “litter.”
That’s because there's a special Labor Day sale on bedding.
It’s what I use in the litterbox. Sorry if that’s “TMI” but I don’t know what else to say. It’s what Josh from the warehouse sends to me.
Anyway, you might want to stock up because it’s 20% off.
By the way, I’m not the one who came up with the headline to this blog. You can thank my boyfriend’s companion for that. Also known as “Little Fang.”
You can also thank the full moon. Did you see it the other night?
My roommate says it’s called the “corn moon.” Because the farmers are bringing in the crops right now.
I call it the “fang moon.” Because you-know-who would not stop talking about it.
Imagine you’re trying to sleep. Maybe you have hay reports due the next day.
Suddenly you hear “Hey!”
You open your eyes and you see a dark shape across the room. Inside the pen. There's a bit of a "glint" on the bars.
“There’s something outside the window.”
It's the moon, you say. You have a tone but it’s the middle of the night. Come on.
“I see a headlight.”
It’s the moon.
“They're looking in the window.”
Stop talking! There’s a big sale this weekend and I have to work. Let me sleep!
There's silence for about five minutes. You start nodding off again when you hear it.
Muttering to herself.
“Big big sale.”
You try to flatten your ears.
“Tell the thing outside the window. There’s a big big big big sale.”
So now you know. This is how I'm spending my week.
I thought my "mystery desk" might show up, to be honest. As an anniversary gift.
So far no updates on all of that.
Also nothing from Josh from the warehouse. He always remembers my special days.
So I'm sure a box of goodies will be "hitting the porch" soon.
Either way it's fine. I don't do this job for the secret desks or the boxes of snackers.
I do this for my friends. Thank you for all of your support.
It means the world to me.
