Hello. It's Belinda.
I want to thank everyone for all the nice comments and emails about the four bedtime story blogs. Especially for my “Twilight Zone” story last week.
Today’s blog is about a friend of mine. I hope you don’t mind.
His name is Jester and he lives in the UK.
Jester is very tall.
Jester is a spokesrabbit for an organization called Rabbit Savior. His actual title is "ambassador."
He emailed me over a year ago and we've been "pen pals" ever since.
Jester is very thoughtful. He even sends homemade birthday cards to me.
When Jester took the job with Rabbit Savior, he asked me for advice on how to be a spokesrabbit.
I told him the truth. I have no idea what I'm doing.
Even though I will celebrate my five-year anniversary next month.
I did explain that the first thing a spokesrabbit has to do is describe what their company does. He told me that Rabbit Savior is "an affordable cross between insurance, a wellness program, and a buying club with the singular goal of reducing the cost of caring for rabbits."
Which sounds excellent in my opinion.
Because you never know when you're going to get sick or have an injury.
And that's exactly what happened to poor Jester last week. He hurt his front leg when he was running around.
His roommate, Lyn, noticed that something was wrong and she took him to the vet. He even had to have surgery.
I don't want to say too much about Jester's private medical issues.
All I want to say is I don't care how many legs he has.
I feel terrible about all of this. If I had money or a gift card I would buy a plane ticket. And fly to the UK to help out.
Jester could lean on me while he recovers. I'm strong.
You can learn more about his injury and treatment on his Rabbit Savior "Fund My Bun" page.
While you're there, please leave Jester and Lyn a nice message. If you know anything about helping "tripod rabbits," please share it with them. Any tips or tricks will help a lot.
You can also leave messages for them in the comment box below. I'll make sure they see it.
Jester is a good friend not only to me, but to Small Pet Select too. He's even in the Small Pet Select Ambassador program.
If you're a rescue or an influencer and you want to make some extra cash, you should join the Ambassador program. When your friends use your special links or codes to shop, you can earn commissions.
I haven’t slept much if you want to know the truth. I keep waiting for updates.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I hope you have a good week.
Especially when you are running around.
