Hello. It's Belinda.
It's Labor Day weekend. A fun holiday here in the USA.
A time to celebrate workers.
Speaking of Labor Day. Be sure to check out our holiday weekend specials.
There's something for everyone.
For example, do you have a "chewer" in the house?
I don't mean hay. I mean biting into things you're not supposed to "sample."
If so, now's a good time to pick up some heavy-duty cord covers. They’re “BOGO,” which means buy one, get one.
You can also get discounts on fun Tiny Paws toys. Choose from seagrass bowls, tents, tunnels, toy samplers, ball trios, apple chew sticks and more.
That's a lot of toys.
Last but not least. If you spend $150, you get a Habitat Hideout Castle for free. If I had cash I’d buy one of these for Little Fang.
OK now for the real topic of this blog.
Jobs for rabbits.
Every year I like to talk about this on Labor Day. That's because today is my work anniversary.
Some rabbit jobs you probably already know about. Such as hay thrower. Carpet un-installer. Baseboard sculptor.
Just kidding.
And there's one job nobody talks about, but it's extra important.
"Companion."
That's right. I'm talking about the job of keeping humans company.
It can look like you're loafing against the wall, "staring into space."
Or sleeping under the desk while the human works or has a "zoom meeting."
By the way. Rabbits are not supposed to "do zoomies" during zoom meetings. Explain that one.
You might be nudging your roommate on the ankle while they cook dinner.
Or giving a little “nose boop” against their hand when they watch their shows.
It might look like the rabbits want attention but that's not what's happening.
It’s the other way around.
Rabbits know what I'm talking about. A lot of roommates want to be fussed over.
Mine sure does. It's just how she's "wired."
And that's all part of a day's work when you're a rabbit.
Is your rabbit a good companion? Let me know in the comments.
Whatever your job is, I hope you have time to relax this weekend.
Sincerely,
Belinda
