Hay friends! Happy November!
Here at Big Momma’s house, the leaves are crunching, the air smells like pumpkin and apples, and it’s time for my Thankful Feast!
I invited all my piggy pals over for a cozy fall gathering filled with seasonal snacks for guinea pigs like us! The hay was fluffed just right, and Little Momma helped me set up a tablecloth with all the best guinea pig treats, including our special surprise — one of my favorite guinea pig forage mixes. (We decided to serve the Herb Forage Tray, but they are all delicious and good for me!)
Every nibble was a new discovery — a crisp parsley stalk here, a soft birch leaf there — filling the air with earthy, cozy scents. Big Momma told us parsley is rich in vitamins, echinacea helps support our immune health, and birch leaves give a gentle cleanse. I just know they taste nummy!
The best part? The tray itself is made from pet-safe cardboard, so once we’d munched our way through the goodies, we could keep chewing, sniffing, and exploring to our hearts’ content.
Between mouthfuls, we took turns squeaking what we were thankful for — warm blankets, endless hay, gentle pats, and hoomans who love us enough to fill our days with good things.
When the last crumbs were gone, we leaned back in our bedding, bellies full and hearts even fuller. I thought about how lucky we are. Small but loved, simple but happy. And that’s what this season is all about, isn’t it?
