Belinda Says Hay: “Photo Blog, Nap Edition”

Belinda Says Hay Blog Header

Hello. It’s Belinda.

I hope you are getting a chance to relax this weekend.

Once this blog is done I’m “off the grid” if you know what I mean.

I’m going to take half-naps, full-naps. Maybe even sleep through my afternoon snack. That’s how much I need to goof off.

In fact, this entire post is about naps. It’s my way of announcing the new Healthy Snacker Half-Napper Mini-Cookies.

This snacker was my idea. Can you believe it?

First the team said yes to the hay cubes. Now this.

I’ve been testing healthy snacker recipes for months but I wasn’t allowed to say anything. We finally decided the perfect mix is ground timothy hay pellets, oats, apple, chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, red clover flower, rose petals, comfrey, kava kava root powder, borage, skullcap and valerian powder.

Kept going back and forth over the skullcap. I finally had to remind everyone who the spokesrabbit is.

Now, you might be thinking “Belinda how do you fit all of that in a micro-cookie?” And the answer is I have no idea. I let the bakers sort that out.

I was supposed to write ads too but I’ve had enough of that for one month. Too hard.

Instead I decided to put together what I’m calling “a celebration of naps.”

I hope they inspire you to log off and flop over.

Big white bunny naps in a sunbeam.

Napping in a sunbeam.

First we have one of my favorite  half-naps. It's the one where you fall asleep in the shadows and wake up with the sun on your shoulders.

That's how you know hours have passed. Which is a good  feeling.

Napping by the AC vent.

Napping by the AC vent.

Next up is the "cold feet nap." An excellent snooze on a July day.

Notice the air conditioning vent. Blowing on my back feet.  Refreshing, if you know what I mean.

Napping at work.

Nodding off at work.

Here's a photo that shows what I look like during afternoon team calls. It's not my fault if they schedule  meetings during my half-naps.

It's dark under the steps in my office. Of course I'm going to nod off.

Rabbit naps with one ear raised.

Half-napping, half-listening.

One ear up. Every rabbit knows this one. Even the lops.

"I'm asleep but I hear a bag."

Relaxing under the table.

Relaxing under the table.

Last but not least, the pre-nap stretch. No matter where or when you are dozing, you'll feel better if you unwind one paw at a time.

I hope you have enjoyed this celebration of naps.

Now if you will excuse me, I have an appointment with a micro-cookie.

Sincerely,

Belinda,
