I want to thank everyone for all the nice messages and emails during the past few weeks. I appreciate everyone checking on me.

We're taking it a day at a time. I'm eating nonstop from my stash if you want to know the truth. That's why you have a stash.
Today I want to talk about Valentine's Day. About some goodies we have for you and your "wee loves."

It took me five days to write all of that. Which is not my fault.
I started first thing Monday morning. Minding my own business underneath the utility sink.
"What are you working on?"
It was the English. I didn't answer.
A few minutes passed. I could hear chewing.
Then he said it.
"Are you writing about Valentimes specials?"
Are you kidding me. That's not how you say "Valentine's."
I ignored him.
"I hope you can get some of those strawberry rose cookies. Order five boxes for me."
As if.
Just keep working Belinda, I told myself. "In my mind."
But did you ever feel somebody getting ready to speak? Even if they’re behind your back. Even if the room is quiet.
Well there's nothing quiet about that feeling.
"By cookies I mean the Valentimes treats."
That was the last straw.
But I didn't spin around and yell "Valentine's!" at the English.
I didn't thump.
Instead, I turned and walked straight across the room, to the bottom of the steps. No "side glances" at anyone either.
I ran up to the kitchen, then through the dining room. I turned the corner and flopped along the baseboard. I closed my eyes and thought of alfalfa.
Next thing you know I woke up and the room was dark. I have no idea how long I was asleep.
This went on all week. Every day the same nonsense.
Now you know why it took me so long to write about Valentine's Day goodies.
The English is a pain in the maypop.
