Belinda Says Hay: “Countdown”

First saw it when I was "foraging" in the kitchen one morning.

Jumped a foot in the air if you want to know the truth.

Next thing you know my roommate is using the globe to tell me all about the eclipse.

I had never heard of eclipses. From the first minute I was against the whole idea.

But my roommate said it would be "fun" for the humans to stand outside and watch the sun go out.

"You have to wear special glasses, Belinda. So it's not for rabbits."

You got that right sister. 

I want nothing to do with it.

A few days later, Little Fang woke me in the middle of the night to announce that she had a plan for canceling the eclipse. 

I still don't know how she found out about it. Also her plan didn't make any sense. 

Then she told me that everyone needed to "stock up" on supplies for the big day. Things like a magnifying glass, magnet, trampoline and folding chair.

 I included her list in last week's blog which was a big mistake. 

That's because my friend former foster bunny Faith read my blog and immediately went on a "shopping spree."

She sent me a message that said she "got on the staff’s device and made an Amazon order of all items on list. Waiting for further instructions. 

I’ve been told I live just miles away from where the total eclipse starts so should be close enough to help."

I'm in a lot of trouble.

I should have emphasized in my blog that Little Fang is a "space cadet." I'm sorry to gossip but it's true. 

I told Little Fang that she needed to explain her mysterious plan to former foster bunny Faith. And to me.

She needed to say exactly how a compass or a blue marble is going to stop the moon from sliding in front of the sun.

Little Fang stared at me for the longest time.

Then she walked into her sleeping box. She's been in there for two days.

So there you have it. 

I plan to spend the eclipse behind the dryer. I hid an entire box of Country Loops back there. 

I hope your plan includes snacks.
