Chapter 89 - Trick or Treat
Dad wanted a bunny-themed Halloween decoration. He threw a white sheet over Homey, the Home Depot rabbit. The blow-mold rabbit became very popular at Christmas a couple of years ago. But his Christmas outfit limited his use. The sheet hid his Christmas wear. Dad cut some holes for his eyes and for his ears to poke through. “That works,” he said. He set the ghost rabbit down on the living room floor with a couple of treat buckets.
Enzo and Merlot ran over to see what was new in their territory. They circled the strange-looking rabbit, sniffed it, and stood up to get a better view. Enzo wondered, “What dat?”
Dad explained, “That’s Homey. He’s dressed for Halloween. He’s supposed to look scary in his costume. He’s ready to go trick or treating. All Enzo heard was “treats.” Enzo thought, “Treats? Did you say treats? Can we go to?”
Dad laughed, “But you don’t have a costume.” Enzo thought, “We don’t need a costume. We can look scary!” Enzo and Merlot struck their best scary pose.
Dad nodded. “OK. I guess you’re as scary as Homey is. I think you deserve a treat!” Dad handed them one of the new Small Pet Select forage rounds.
Merlot said, “Ohhh, this is new! Let’s try it!” The two rabbits forgot all about Halloween and dug into their treat.

Enzo and Merlot are ready to go trick or treating (mainly treating) with Homey the Home Depot rabbit.
