Chapter 304 - A Celebration of Life
In honor of his little girl, Dad wrote this tribute to Abigail:
The Smallest Bun Who Changed the World
Her life began as an Easter gift
Like many who came before
The little dwarf who sat in a cage
And wished for so much more
“The smallest one can change the world”
She heard Peter Rabbit say
Abigail dreamed of big ideas
As she waited for her day
Her big day came when she met Dad
He set her free to explore
Not just the House of Buns,
But the world and so much more!
She taught him the ways of rabbits
And learned that humans were swell
She shared her stories Through Abigail’s Eyes
And taught many others as well
She tried to make the world
A better place indeed
Finding homes and raising funds
For rabbits who were in need
She shared her home with other buns
Let them move into her space
Bentley, Enzo, Merlot, and Mobo
The House of Buns was their place
She always knew Dad had her back
There was nothing he wouldn’t do
He vowed to love and cherish
This adorable bun he knew
Lazy summer evenings
Playing ball and chase as well
Regular evening pets
To a song she knew so well
They had loved each other forever
When first she stole his heart
Which made it so much harder
When it came time for them to part
Don’t be sad, she said to him
You gave me the best life ever
And let this smallest rabbit
Change the world for the better.
Abigail’s life goal was to make the world a better place for rabbits. It’s been heartwarming to see how many lives she touched around the world with her stories and how she became part of your families as well.
