Chapter 76 - Hide and Seek Pro
Dad was away on vacation. While he was eating breakfast, he decided to check in on the House of Buns. As he “tuned-in” to the living room, he saw Enzo and Merlot playing.
“Let’s play hide and seek,” said Merlot. She ran off into the bedroom. Enzo, always up for game of hide and seek, ran after her. Merlot said, “OK, wait here while I hide.” Merlot darted into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. “He’ll never find me in here!” she thought. She had become quite the pro at hide and seek.
Enzo said, “Ready or not, here I come!” He ran right past the bathroom and into the living room. “Merlot! Where go?” he asked. He looked around, but couldn’t find her. “She hid good!” he thought.
Merlot giggled and thought, “I got him!” There was only one problem. She couldn’t open the door. But Merlot wasn’t worried. She just settled into a loaf position and took a nap.
Dad noticed in one video clip, the bathroom door was open. In the next, it was closed. “Uh oh,” he thought. He texted Krickett, his rabbit sitter, “I think Merlot locked herself in the bathroom. Can you let her out when you’re there?” Krickett laughed and texted back, “OK.”
A few hours later, Krickett arrived at the House of Buns. She immediately went to the bathroom and opened the door. “Merlot, are you ready to come out?” she asked. Krickett placed a doorstop under the door to keep it from closing again.
Merlot wandered out of the bathroom and into the living room searching for Enzo. She called out, “Enzo, I fooled ya! Where are you?” It was game on, again.
