Chapter 83 - Desperately Seeking Hobo
Abigail, the angel bunny, desperately searched through the sea of bunny faces. Normally, she would stop to welcome the new angels, but today, she was on a mission – she was searching for her former housemate, Hobo.
Abigail had received the message from Mocha about Hobo. “Oh no!” she thought. Another loss at the House of Buns. She looked down on her old crew. Everybun seemed sad, especially Dad and Mocha. Indeed, Hobo was no longer aboard the starship Bunnyprise.
She searched and searched. Suddenly, she spotted a familiar face. “Hobo!” she called out. Hobo’s ears went up. Well, as much as a lop’s ears can go up. He turned to her and recognized the little rabbit. “Abigail? Is that you?”
Abigail ran to him. “Nice wings!” said Hobo. Abigail blushed, “Yeah, I earned those awhile back helping a bunny to safety. How are you?”
He said, “I guess my earthly body gave out. I remember Dad took me to see the Supervet. She was going to take some x-rays. I fell asleep. And then I woke up here. I’m sad. I didn’t want to leave Mocha.”
Abigail comforted her friend, “I know. I was sad at first. I didn’t want to leave Dad. But don’t worry, Hobo. It’ll be OK. You’re a rabbit angel now. I’ll show you how you can help rabbits and earn your wings. But first, I have a message from Mocha.”
Abigail gave her old friend a hug. There was so much to explain!
