Chapter 3 - Binky, Binky, Zoomie, Flop
It was early in the morning. The house was still quiet. Dad was still asleep down in his burrow. Enzo nibbled quietly on some hay. Just then, Merlot came bounding into the living room.
“Hey, Enzo! Wanna play?” she asked. Merlot sniffed the food tray before she ran off across the room. She loved being a free roam rabbit and having all this space to run and play in, whenever she felt like it.
Enzo watched as Merlot came running back towards him. At the last second, she binkied right over him. “Come on! Let’s play!” she shouted. Enzo humored her and chased after her. Well, it was more “follow the leader” than “chase,” but Merlot didn’t mind. She just liked having someone to play with her.
After several minutes of doing laps around the couch, she ran back to home base for a drink of water. “I love it here!” she thought. She binkied twice and ran a little zoomie around the table legs before she stopped for another sip of water. “OK, I’m done!” she thought. She flopped down hard on her side.
Life was good for this little rabbit at Abigail’s House of Buns!
