Belinda Says Hay: “Happy Earth Day Birthday”

Hello. It's Belinda.

It's taking me forever to write this blog.

I keep running to the front door.

Thought I heard the delivery truck.

"False alarm."

It's not my fault. My birthday is tomorrow.  Saturday, April 22.

Josh always sends me some goodies from the warehouse. Not that I expect anything but you never know.

Tomorrow is also Earth Day.

That's right. Two special days to celebrate at once.

So I decided to throw a little "party." And you are invited.

Now if you are reading this on Sunday you might be thinking: "Hold the hoe."

Because April 22 is over. Too late to have a party.

Well if the roommates can flip the hours around every six months, my Earth Day birthday "combo" party can go on for a week or more.

In fact, in this house, we do our bit for the earth all year long.

That's because my roommate gives our litterbox "donations" to a local gardener.

He dumps it all on a compost heap. When it's ready, he mixes it into the soil.

It's pretty nifty in my opinion. All you need is a loo. 

"April litterboxes bring May herbs and phloxes."
