Hello. It's Belinda.
Today's blog is all about Abigail, the company novelist. It's her three-year anniversary on the job.
Actually the anniversary was last weekend. I missed it because my laptop was broken.
Turns out there were quite a few "hay crumbs" inside the keyboard. That's why the capital letter gizmo wouldn't work. My roommate fixed it.
She's "back in business" too. She spent one entire day in bed. But the next morning she was back to singing and slamming drawers and dropping spoons in the kitchen.
Anyway I want to write about Abigail.
"Technically" she's my employee but we never really discuss work. We meet once a week and always end up talking about food. It's fun.
I hired Abigail behind everyone's back because I thought I was losing my spokesrabbit job. Everyone was acting shifty and whispering for a few weeks. What else was I supposed to think?
Well "lo and behold" I was wrong. The team was actually planning a surprise birthday party for me.
The surprise was on them because the next day Abigail submitted the first chapter of her novel. It was titled "Wish With All Your Heart."
She was an employee so they had to publish it.
A few weeks later, she wrote about learning to trust her “Dad.”
Now it's three years and 158 chapters later. The novel is a real "page-turner." But Abigail also writes about how to make the world a better place for house rabbits.
She shares tips about how to look after us.
And she has such a good heart. She helped raise money for rabbit rescues by selling chocolate bars and bunny bling shirts.
When Bentley and Mocha and Hobo needed a place to live, she let them move into her house.
I hope you have a chance to read some of these chapters. Abigail is the best novelist around in my opinion.
But more than that, she’s one of my best friends.
