This is a quick blog today. I know I say that every week but this time it's true.

OK here's why I have to "cut to the chase" with this blog.
My roommate is pestering me. She wants me to take a few days off to celebrate my job anniversary.
That's right. Another year has "flown past." Like a little bat.
This weekend I mark six years as your spokesrabbit. Which means I've been "saying hay" for 312 weeks in a row.
You would think I would run out of things to say about hay. Not going to happen.
There's a reason they hired a rabbit.
Anyway, last year I wrote about some of the big "boo boos" I've made over the years.
The year before that I did a "co-blog" with my roommate.
For 2023, I want to do something different.
It's time to celebrate Labor Day by sending out a big "Way to go!" to some very important rabbit workers.
By that I mean people who work with rabbits.
And for rabbits.
Some of you call yourselves "rabbit rescuers."
Or foster volunteers.
Or shelter employees.
Maybe you drive rabbits from one state to another.
Or raise money to pay for food, supplies and medical care.
Or help with "spa days" for rabbits who need a manicure.
Or team up with others to trap rabbits who are stranded outdoors.
Some of you even crawl around on the sidewalk to scoop up rabbits from New Zealand who end up in Pittsburgh, sleeping under cars.
I was set loose in the city. Next thing you know I'm in a shelter where it was warm and dry. I had all the food and water I could want.
Best of all no yelling and honking.
Maybe you do some or all of the above "rabbit work."
Or other tasks. Please let me know in the comments if I forgot something.
So on this Labor Day, which is also my spokesrabbit anniversary, I want to send out my thanks to everyone who works so hard to helps rabbits who are in a jam.
And also those who help roommates who need a hand.
I don't know the name of the person who picked me up from the street. But I do know one thing.
If they weren't so good at their rabbit-helping job that day, I would not have this one.
