Hello. It's Belinda.
Happy New Year "to you and yours." I hope 2020 is your best year yet.
I also hope you will forgive me for the lazy headline. It's not even a sentence. It's just a word by itself.
That's because I'm still in "holiday mode." My week has been one half-nap after another. And snack breaks.
I still have some goodies from Santa Claus. Plus Abigail sent me a willow wreath, with is my favorite. She also sent me a new office but I don't want to talk about that right now.
What I do want to talk about is planning for 2020. New Year's means it's time to write down some business goals.
But first I wanted to "dust off" the resolutions I made a year ago. To tell you the truth I had not looked at them since last January.
These were my goals for 2019:
- Suggest new products
- Build a bigger home office
- Buy a company plane
- My own bedroom
- A home garden
Well I sure hope my agent doesn't read this. Because when it comes to goals, my "batting average" is terrible.
On the other hand I had a great year and I am very proud. Not just of myself but the whole team. "It takes a village to serve a snacker."
For example, we all worked on the launch of my Half-Napper Mini Cookies.
They were my idea and my photo is on the package. But I don't bake them or ship them and so forth.
Another big win was adding hay cubes to the product lines. Both Timothy and alfalfa.
That idea came from my comment box so thank you to everyone who wrote messages. I read every single one.
I got to write some ads and an exciting headline for the hay cubes. It's good to learn new skills.
Speaking of hay, I invented an excellent new hay toy. It's not available for sale yet but I keep nagging.
Same with the Belixa. I have the drawings ready but I need some help with the wiring. I am not allowed to be around wires which is unfair.
I published a drawing of my roommate in our very first co-blog. Which was fun. The topic was "How to Bond Two Rabbits."
And while it does not feel like work, I helped to represent Small Pet Select at Midwest BunFest.
This is starting to feel funny. I'm talking too much about myself. Even though it's sort of a "performance review."
So I will finish with the best thing that happened in 2019.
My agent let me have my own email account for my birthday. It was supposed to be temporary but "shhh." It's still there.
Now I have to work on 2020 goals and I don't know what could "top" the past year. I'm stumped.
