Hay friends!
Big Momma says Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend. That’s got me doing some serious thinking about how to let her know she’s so special to me.
Some piggies have amazing sow moms who keep them close, warm, and safe.
And some of us have devoted piggy parents like my Big Momma, who make sure we have everything we need, like fresh hay, clean spaces, and lots and lots of love.
It’s all the simple things she does that make me feel safe and loved. So this Mother’s Day, I’m going to show her how much I love her in those same simple ways.
Here’s my plan.
When Big Momma comes over, I’m going to stay close. No running off. No distractions.
I’m going to give her a gentle nose boop… then wait.
If everything goes according to plan, Big Momma will smile, reach out her hand, and bring out the good stuff.
That’s right. Deliciously crunchy Pea Flakes. (It’s our Mother’s Day tradition!)
I’m going to take each one gently from her hand and stay right there beside her.
We’ll make it a special mommy-piggy bonding moment. Maybe I’ll even let out a few happy little wheeks so she knows just how much she means to me.
Because for guinea pigs, appreciation doesn’t look like cards or flowers. It looks like staying close, feeling safe, accepting a hand-fed snack, and sharing quiet time together.
So to all the piggy moms out there who love us so well, you are the heart of our herd. You give us a world we can trust.
With a heart full of Mother's Day appreciation,
Gizmo
Your grateful little piggy pal
