Hello. It's Belinda.
Well here we go.
"Spring forward."
If you're reading this on Sunday morning I'm sorry. I hope you had enough sleep.
Not to be rude but if you're in charge of breakfast you should probably hop to it. For rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens. "Whomever."
They're all hungry no matter what the clock tells you.
I'm writing this blog on Friday. It's supposed to be about hay but I'm not in the mood. I keep thinking about what's coming.
They call it Daylight “Saving“ Time. Save it where?
You can’t save light by borrowing time.
My roommate says it all works out. Because we "took" an extra hour back in the fall.
I didn't take a thing. I've been down here on the bottom level minding my own business. So has Little Fang.
I don't know how the English feels about the time change. He gets everything he wants so he probably has no idea. Not my problem.
We don't even have a clock down here. We use the light coming through the window over the dryer. And the shadows on the floor. That's all you need.
But not the humans. At 2 a.m. they push time ahead one hour.
That's 60 minutes covered up. As if you kicked dirt over them.
Can you imagine it? No.
Because it didn’t really happen. Everybody just pretends it did. To be polite.
My roommate says we do it to "have more light in the evening."
But then it's not evening. It’s still day.
You can see how none of this makes sense. Especially to a rabbit.
Anyway even though I had deadlines I spent some time "noodling" over a new way to measure time.
Here's my rough sketch.
If you get grumpy just hang on. It's almost "treat o'clock."
I used snackers and loops. But any goodie will do.
I can't wait to show this to the boss. I knew I would come up with big ideas this year.
Anyway that's all from me. I hope you have a good week.
"Keep warm."
Sincerely, Belinda
