Belinda Says Hay: “Welcome, Merlot”

Hello. It's Belinda.

(I have an important announcement at the end of this blog. So be sure to read all the way to the "conclusion.")

Today's a big day. 

I get to introduce the brand new Small Pet Select novelist.

That's right. Before Enzo left, he asked his "sweetheart" Merlot to keep his novel going.

And she said yes.

A few weeks ago, we had our first "editorial" meeting. She handled it like a pro.

Here's a photo from the meeting. She had a nice portrait of her and Enzo on the second monitor.

It gave her courage.   

You can read all about that meeting and more in Merlot's very first chapter, which was published Wednesday. 

She did an excellent job in my opinion. She even talked about going on a "field trip" with her roommate.

He took her shopping.

How do you like that?

If you're wondering about Merlot's "resume" it's a good one.

A few years ago, she stayed at Enzo's house to recover after spay surgery. 

She was supposed to leave after two days. But she tricked "Dad" and he forgot to take her back to the shelter.

Rabbits know what I'm talking about.

I think I'm going to like working with Merlot. I'm supposed to be her boss and I'm trying to be a good one.

She has big shoes to fill.

OK here's the announcement I saved for the end.

I broke the comments.

I have no idea what I did. One day the comments were working fine and the next day "bam."

No comment box.

I'm beside myself. Reading the comments is my favorite part of being a spokesrabbit. It's how I get your ideas.

The Tech Team is working on it. "Hop to it" is what I say.
